PSIM – The reality

IIn the last few years we have all heard about PSIM and how it is set to take the security industry by storm; allowing security operations to realise the dream of an intelligent integrated system that spans organisations, continents, systems and technologies.

So where is PSIM today? Is it still too soon? Or, has it already passed? The reality is that these are complex integration products, a lot goes into making them work, and importantly, into making them easy enough for a non-programmer to implement.

Significant investments have been made into these products, both in implementations and especially into making the PSIM easier and quicker to deploy. We are the perfect example of this, with a number of global implementations in a wide range of industries, including Law Enforcement, Critical National Infrastructure, Campus, DHS and corporate enterprise, we have been able to understand what makes a successful implementation, and where this technology can really benefit an organisation.

Spearheading North American Operations with Two Senior Appointments.

Over the summer, we proudly announced the appointment of Matthew Kushner as President, Americas and Jeff DeCocq as Sales Engineering Manager - US, to spearhead their North American Operations. As part of our expansion to cover global markets, we are opening a US facility to provide sales and support of our award winning PSIM software.

Demand for the product is coming from both end users and leading integrators, recognising a need for intelligent integration of multiple vendor security applications. As a result of this increased activity, we have signed partner agreements with a selected number of enterprise level integration partners in North America.

Aujas Strategic Partnership

We have signed a partner agreement with Aujas Networks Pvt. Ltd. (Aujas), a Global Information Risk management services company. Aujas is focused on information risk management services, offering security services including IT GRC, Application Security and Identity & Access Management services. It was founded by a core team of security professionals with decades of experience in security. Aujas is headquartered at Bangalore, India with presence in Middle-East and Africa.

This is an exciting relationship for CNL for two reasons. Firstly, it is through partnerships like this, that PSIM will take its place at the heart of Enterprise Risk Management solutions. As we see the convergence between IT and Security gaining momentum and end users asking for holistic solutions for their security needs, Aujas is perfectly positioned to offer services to deliver these solutions in India.

Product Update

CNL Partner with Barco

We have integrated IPSecurityCenter with the Transform A Controller and Middleware from Barco, a global leader in control room visualisation. The integration with Barco’s controller offers end users a one-stop shop for a control room management and visualisation solution.

Together we share the same goal of delivering technology to meet the strict requirements of control rooms, where operators need to take critical decisions in the blink of an eye. Barco has provided networked video walls and control room management software for reference installations worldwide.

This solution has been applied and tested in both fully IP-based and hybrid environments.

We have collaborated on several international critical infrastructure projects together, which has helped build this strategic relationship.

Events

CNL will attend Intersec, the international meeting platform for security, safety and protection in Dubai. The Intersec trade fair and conference plays a major role in reflecting the security industry worldwide, as it attracts visitors from over 96 countries. The event is expected to attract over 17,000 visitors. CNL will be joined by over 700 exhibitors from 50 countries.
